Welcome From The Director

Picture of Library Entrance Welcome to the new Carson County Library website! I would like to invite you to visit the website often for current information on library services and events. There are also many useful links and several photos of our beautiful library.

If you haven't been to the library lately, please stop by soon!  Staff members are available to serve your informational needs!

The Carson County Library is located at 401 Main St. Our facility features spacious surroundings creating an atmosphere conducive to reading, relaxation and reflection. Three reading areas and a centralized lounge area provide comfortable seating. Study tables, accommodating 4 or 6 are located throughout the main area.

We are a member of the Harrington Library Consortium which provides our patrons with resources found in much larger library systems.

Using Your Library is Fun and Easy!

Did you know that Library cards are free to residents of Carson County?  You must have proof of address so bring your driver's license.  If Picture of Reading Area you are under the age of 18 a parent's signature is required.

Your Carson County Library card can be used at dozens of libraries around the Texas Panhandle.  This service is made possible through agreements among members of the Harrington Library Consortium and the Texas Panhandle Library System. If you don't see a title you want on our shelves, no problem!  Carson County Library participates in the area's Interlibrary Loan Program.  This means we may borrow the item you want from another library at no charge to you!

Need help with your homework?  Visit our interactive online Homework Help database.  If you need help taking a test we have that also.  If you are a teacher or home schooler you may find Tumblebooks, our database of animated kids books helpful.  Check out all our databases under our "Get Help On Anything" ribbon.
